Culpeper Senior Center celebrates renovations

- On Friday, Feb. 5, the Culpeper Senior Nutrition Site, better known as the Culpeper senior center, hosted a renovation kick off party, culminating almost three and a half years of fundraising.

New interpretive markers coming to Fleetwood Hill

- Fleetwood Hill will no longer offer just a majestic vista of the surrounding area but bring to life the fierce fighting that took place there and the historic significance of the battle.

Local support for Angel Flight continues to soar

- FFRW has been supporting Angel Flight since February of 2014 and during that time has raised a total of $6,700. In addition to the money there were also numerous newspaper articles printed in the local media to help with awareness of Angel Flight in the community.

- It’s been said that “We eat first with our eyes.” If true, cheese works well on any plate. Consider not only the variety of shapes and colors in cheese, but - the rinds. Rinds, being the exterior of the cheese, pate being the center, that consist of a myriad of types. Be they rinds covered with herbs, ash, colorfully waxed, orange, brown or bright white, there is the one question that daunts just about everybody, “can I eat the rind?”

- One of the best parts of being a community television producer is getting to experience the different types of people and personalities that make up our community. We may only be with a person for an hour but because of the focused nature of an interview we really get a very good look into a person's life. This is especially true after the cameras are turned off and they add context and more background to what they shared in the interview.
