Lorin Maazel had been rehearsing at his home in Rappahannock, Castleton Farms, for upcoming festival.
- The Castleton Festival announced on Sunday, July 13, that Maestro Lorin Maazel died at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton from complications following pneumonia.

Marvin Andrew Mudd of Culpeper sentenced to 20 years for Leeds Court robbery

- In court today, Marvin Andrew Mudd, 21 of Culpeper, was sentenced for following an elderly woman into her Warrenton home this past winter and robbing her at gunpoint.
