Va. attorney general sues major banks for $1.1B

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring is suing some of the world's largest banks for $1.15 billion in damages related to the housing market crash, saying the financial institutions fraudulently sold risky mortgage-backed securities to the state's public pension system.
